What Is Milan Fashion Week?

Milan Fashion Week is hosted twice a year in Milan, Italy. The schedules tend to vary with earlier and later styles appearing during different seasons. Schedules are generally announced closer to the premieres of the show.

Milan Fashion Week began in 1958 to follow suit of other fashion capitals who hold their own events: Paris, New York, and London. Milan is the third event after New York and Paris with London ending the year.

Famous designers have included Italian designers such as Gucci, Versace, and Dolce & Gabbana. These runway shows feature both women and men’s wear with up to 40 locations and individual designer showcases.
